Carrie Vottero

Welcome to Greensburg Salem's High School Library!

My name is Carrie Vottero and I am the high school's librarian. I can't think of many jobs better than mine! Our library is an incredible place, full of wonderful resources and books! It is a place to work, to learn, to gather, and to belong.

I graduated from Butler Area High School in 1981 and then graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1985, with a degree in elementary education. I have a masters degree in library science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and have been the high school's librarian since 2005. I'm also certified to teach middle school English language arts!

I have three incredible children, who are now grown. They are the lights of my life. And as many of you already know, I have four, sassy, chihuahuas. They keep me very busy, now that my children don't need me as much.

I've been a reader for as long as I can remember. And sharing that love with our high school students and staff is joyful to me! What's better than a great book? Who doesn't love a great story? Join us in the library! It's going to be your new favorite place.
